OK folks, part of this country are having some real heavy snows and nasty winds. Sure glad it is not where I live right now. When I grew up and lived just south of Lake Erie near Sandusky, about 30 miles south, we had some dry winters.   But occasionally we could have a good blizzard type of storm and the snow would drift so high that it could completely block highways up to the top of the power polls. Fortunately not so often but what is happening to the folks in the north eastern states sure reminded me of my younger years.

Way down here in lower Arizona we will probably never have a storm like that. But a few flakes, a skiff on the ground, might get news worthy attention from the local news stations.

Right now we are seeing over night temps in the 50's and our afternoon temps do get up into the mid 80's. Wish we could end it right now and not go into those mid summer 100's overnight lows and the highs can go up into the 115 temps.

I like it now in the 70's and 80's.

Almost a month with no responses. Sad times I guess as this particular forum may have lost interest for all. Pretty sad, as I liked all the followers of the Myst stories who once posted here.

And now, there is another Myst story being readied for release. So maybe by next fall we will have more interest started.

Still no responses from anyone and it seems now that many posts of last year and before might be missing too.

So I think I will just watch for a while and if no decides to post, I will just drift off into the distance.

Hope you all have had good lives and a good future too.

Ulrich, I see your post of April 20th.   I don't know what happened as it appears some areas are gone and no one has been on this site but me for a while now.

Sorry about not being here, bob, but my account was locked out. I had to email Ulrich about the problem and he was able to get it fixed. And I'm. Back.

Our spring has really sprung, what with rain last Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. And now we're getting rain again today, Thursday. It will be a few days before the grass drys out so I can mow, and it's going to be a chore when I finally can. We may have to get machetes just to get around the yard until then.

Trees have finally leafed, everything is nice and green instead of the sickly brown of winter. And I'm finally adding a leg to a sprinkler zone to take care of an area not being watered. Now if it would only stop raining for awhile.

hello Homer. I stopped daily looking as it seemed to be shut down and nobody posting. Good to see you are back again. Probably not many more will even try.   I will watch loosely and then maybe post responses or make comments or even ask questions.

An update on my family. On Sunday April 12, my wife collapsed in the hall. I called 911 and the fire dept got here first but soon after an ambulance showed up. I followed them to the hospital and eventually the doctors said she had a heart attack. Now, she is out of the emergency room and into a doctoring and nursing type of location. Hopefully in a week or so she may be released to our home with a nursing visit type of set up.

Will be glad when we can forget some of he intrusions the medical folks do make in our lives. Hoping for a much better recovery than what has happened so far.

Oh bob, I'm sorry to hear about your wife. I hope she's now doing better. It sometimes does seem intrusive when medical personal have to invade our space in order to keep us living. But if they didn't more deaths would take place. Perhaps it's because we're not used to these types of actions that actually make it seem intrusive. And yet, one day, no matter what they do, we all end up dying. It's the way of life on this planet.

I don't come here as often as I used to because I don't get onto the computer as often as I once did. I may go a week before I'm on the computer, then usually to check emails. Since doing the above I find my eyes don't bother me as much as they did when I was on the computer for hours each day.

I know I miss out on a lot in the forums I visit, but if my eyes feel better then it's worth it.

From the weather maps, I saw Arizona getting quite a lot of rain a while back. Right now we are getting more rain than we had all of last Spring. So far we figure we've received about 4 inches, and were in for more. It rains for a couple of days, stops for a couple, and rains again. Last week we had a lull for a couple of days and I was finally able to mow the lawn. It was so tall I could only make one or two rounds before emptying the grass catcher baskets. This week was almost a repeat but it stopped raining this past Saturday and I was able to mow Monday. Lucky for me that I did because it rained again Tuesday.

I'll put an end to this triad at this time so I'll have something to say next time.

Hello again Homer.   Your post on the 20th of May and today is the 22nd of May. My wife is still in medical care but there is some talk that maybe next Monday, the 25 of May, she will be released to come home.

We still have not been briefed on what that means to her and us in our own home. I believe there is supposed to be a short period of home visits from the medical folks. Not at all sure about that.   The wife's strength will determine if we will need to hire home help.   Still plenty of concerns but it will be good to have her back home again.   She has had a set back at the health center so for over a week she was excused from training and put on some special transfusion types of treatment. This week that was all done and they took all her connections in her arm.

I just wonder what is happening to all the one time members of this forum. Too bad they have all just wandered away.

Well, on the 25th of May the wife did get released to home. But with specialist in some different skills have also followed. Not done yet but a much better acting wife now that she is home and allowed to do lots of things the care group would deny her of doing.

I expect in another week of two and the care folks will pull in their contacts too.

The wife had some real fears and with my daughter being here this past week she has been able to talk the wife into at least riding in her car. Still a bit timid about going into the stores shopping, maybe that will be one of the barriers that I will be able to break next week.

I think now she has a better chance than I to be the last person alive of this marriage. In a way I hope it is me that goes next and leaves her with some money and legal protection.

I don't want to end up in some hospital or care place, stuck in a bed and being kept around for no reason. We are working on new wills ans living wills hoping to end such wasteful nonsense in the future.

Have a good weekend.
